What a membrane bioreactor module is
Solid-liquid separation in mixed liquor.
In a membrane bioreactor, biology and membrane filtration share the same process. Activated sludge stays in the tank. The membrane module separates solids from liquid. Permeate leaves as treated water. That is wastewater filtration for municipal sewage treatment and industrial wastewater treatment.
Zyramic supplies the module that sits in the membrane tank. Blowers, controls, piping, and install stay with the partner or the plant. Public word is modules, not systems.

Palisade

SiC + alumina. Flat sheet + tubular. Backwash path for hard feeds. Also on MBR trains. Elements sourced; Zyramic supplies the modules.

Municipal sewage treatment and industrial wastewater treatment both use a membrane bioreactor for solid-liquid separation. The same module can be the first membrane step for wastewater reuse and water reclamation: permeate before reverse osmosis or nanofiltration downstream. Zyramic does not sell RO or NF elements. Partners take that part of the train.
